All 105 is a Nittany Sports Now series profiling each Penn State football player. This edition will take a look at Tyler Duzansky, who’s set to enter his second season as the team’s starting long snapper.
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 217 pounds
Hometown: Wheaton, Illinois
Before Penn State: Duzansky was a three-year letterman at St. Francis College Prep, helping his team to a conference title as a junior and 6-0 COVID-shortened season as a junior.
2021: Duzansky redshirted his first season at Penn State.
2022: Duzansky played in seven of Penn State’s 13 games, backing up starting long snapper Chris Stoll.
Last year: Duzansky became the team’s starting long snapper, playing on all 13 games and making six tackles (five solo) on special teams to lead the nation in tackles by a long snapper.
Where he stands: Duzansky is set to be Penn State’s starting long snapper once again. As with everybody in his position, the fewer Penn State fans say his name, the better. Long snappers are generally only talked about when they make mistakes.
A quote by Duzansky: “I would say the reason I came here, number one, obviously, to be able to play at the next level. And, Penn State specifically has been able to produce specialists to the NFL in recent years. Chris Stoll and Jordan Stout, who I’ve played with here, and I would consider them both mentors to me. But then also just how the coaches treat players. It’s not like this everywhere. And I would say that another plus that Penn State gives to recruits and players.”
