All 105 is a Nittany Sports Now series profiling each Penn State football player, and this article will be about walk-on RB Amiel Davis.
Height: 6-feet
Weight: 214 pounds
Hometown: Voorhees, New Jersey
Before Penn State: Davis played at New Jersey’s Eastern Regional High School and was a two-time team MVP and senior captain. He played both sides of the ball, picking up 29 tackles (eight for loss) during his COVID-shortened 2020 senior year. As a junior, Davis ran for 100+ yards four times and ran for nine touchdowns, adding 47 tackles (five TFL) and a pick.
2021: Davis redshirted his first season, playing at Marist, and didn’t appear in any games.
2022: Now at Penn State, Davis also didn’t appear in any games but was named the coaching staff’s Developmental Squad Offensive Player of the Week leading up to the Ohio State game in late-October.
Last year: Davis was an academic All-Big Ten selection. He didn’t appear in any games but was the coaching staffs Developmental Squad Player of the Week for Oct. 28 leading into the Indiana game.
Where he stands: Running back is arguably the strongest position on Penn State’s offense. Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen are both back for their third seasons, and Penn State also has second-year player Cam Wallace, who impressed over spring camp and appears to be in the driver’s seat for the third running back spot. Penn State also has true freshmen in four-stars Corey Smith (Waukesha, Wisconsin) and Quinton Martin (Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania) signed.
