All 105 is a Nittany Sports Now series profiling each Penn State football player, and this edition will take a look at walk-on safety Kolin Dinkins.
Height: 6-foot-2
Weight: 197 pounds
Hometown: Wexford, Pennsylvania
Before Penn State: The son of former NFL player Darnell Dinkins and brother of Penn State tight end Khalil Dinkins, Kolin Dinkins had a successful career at North Allegheny High School. He was a three-year letterman and ended his senior season with 44 tackles and six tackles for loss. He also played offense, running for 155 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries as a sophomore. He committed to walk on at Penn State in February 2022.
2022: Dinkins redshirted his freshman season and didn’t appear in any games.
Last year: Dinkins appeared in 12 of Penn State’s 13 games, being named Developmental Squad Player of the Week three times and, at the end of the season, being named Penn State’s “Outstanding Run-on” along with offensive lineman Dominic Rulli.
Where he stands: Kolin Dinkins probably won’t get talked about as much as his older brother, who is in position to be the team’s No. 2 tight end behind Tyler Warren. But he should be a fixture on Penn State’s special teams.
