Two Penn State greats are Super Bowl champions.
Because the Philadelphia Eagles pounded the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX, PSU greats Saquon Barkley and Jahan Dotson now have rings.
This is a case of a superstar and an unsung hero.
The superstar was Barkley, who eclipsed 2,000 yards rushing in the regular season en route to Offensive Player of the Year.
Landslide: Penn State Legend Saquon Barkley Runs Away With AP Offensive Player of the Year
Heโs continued that into the postseason. In the wildcard round against the Green Bay Packers, he rushed for 119 yards on 25 carries. The next round was perhaps the signature performance of his NFL career. Against the Los Angeles Rams, Barkley rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. Both TD runsโ 68 and 72 yardsโ were epic. The second one was especially so since it happened in the middle of a snowstorm.

Barkley is the clear top dog on a team of stars.
Dotson, on the other hand, flew under the radar.
The former Penn State receiver had 216 yard on 19 receptions in the regular season and caught a touchdown pass in the Wildcard round against Green Bay.
In the Super Bowl, he made some more noise. In the first quarter, he caught a 27-yard pass that brought Philly to the 1-yard line. One the next play, QB Jalen Hurts scored via โTush Push.โ

Dotson had a 15-yard reception later in the first half to end with 42 yardsโ his second highest total of the seasonโ on two catches.
Barkley, on the other hand, didnโt put up the dazzling numbers fans have grown used to. He ended with 56 yards on 24 carries. But itโs doubtful that matters much to him, because heโs a champ, and he and Dotson will be celebrating for as long as they desire.
