Penn State defensive tackle Zane Durant is joining one of the most potent teams in the AFC.
On Saturday afternoon, Durant was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 5th round (181st overall) in the 2026 NFL Draft.
A three-year starter on Penn State’s defensive line, Durant notched 89 career tackles, 22 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks in 54 games.
He started 40 career games and returned to PSU for the 2025 season, bypassing the draft to help Penn State chase a championship run.
Durant’s best season came in 2024, totaling career highs in tackles (42) and tackles for loss (11).
In 2025, Durant recorded 25 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, plus a career-bests with four sacks, two pass breakups, three passes defended, and one interception.
Durant was named an All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honoree the last two seasons.
In 2023 against the Northwestern Wildcats, Durant became the first Penn State defensive tackle since Curtis Cothran (Wisconsin) in 2016.
The 2026 NFL Draft concludes in Pittsburgh on Saturday.
