The Pro Football Focus snap counts for Penn State football’s 35-6 demolition of Washington are in.

The defense was on the field for 59 plays and the offense 71.

By contrast, the defense was on the field for 66 plays against Ohio State compared to 54 for the offense.

Unlike the Washington game, Ohio State was close until the final second, ending in a Buckeye 20-13 win. So what this means is that Penn State’s best defensive players didn’t play as much against Ohio State while the best offensive players did more.

So who got the most playing time for Penn State against Ohio State? Which young players took advantage of the blowout and got reps? We’ll dive into that right now.

DEFENSE

Abdul Carter was Penn State football’s highest-rated player by Pro Football Focus, getting a grade of 92 for the 35-6 win over Washington Nov. 6.
