He’s the No. 13 QB in the country from his class per 247Sports. He also had offers from schools such as Arkansas, Cal, Cincinnati, Florida State, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Virginia and Wisconsin.
This May, Warren participated in the Elite 11 finals, which took place in Los Angelas.

But Wood, who is from Westwood, Massachusetts, announced that he had flipped to Boston College Oct. 18. So Penn State is back to the drawing board.
There are four other quarterbacks that Penn State’s offered from the 2027 Class. Penn State offered four-star Peter Bourque, who committed to former Penn State coach James Franklin and Virginia Tech. It also offered Keegan Croucher, who committed to Ole Miss, and Will Mencl, who committed to Oregon. Penn State does have a QB committed to the 2028 Class in James “Booboo” Armstrong, a four-star from Hopewell High School in the Pittsburgh area.
There’s always the transfer portal, as well, with current starter Rocco Becht being the first portal QB to start for Penn State. It’s almost certain that next years starting QB will be from the portal in some form, whether it’s current QB2 Alex Manske, who came from Iowa State, or a future portal acquisition.
