We now know when Penn State and Washington will kickoff Nov. 7, and where to find the game on TV. The ninth game of the Matt Campbell
Penn State fans who wanted back-to-back 4:15 kicks— something that almost certainly has never happened in program history— will be disappointed. Nonetheless, this will be the third 3:30 kick Penn State’s had this season, with the first one being the season opener against Marshall at Beaver Stadium and the second being at Michigan Oct. 10.
Penn State’s also had two noon kicks (at Temple Sept. 12, vs. Buffalo Sept 19), a 5:00 kick (vs. Wisconsin Sept. 26), a Friday night 8:00 kick (at Northwestern Oct. 2) and a Saturday night 7:30 kick (vs. USC Oct. 10).
Coming into the season, it looked like Penn State-Washington could be a ranked matchup, with PSU starting the season ranked No. 18 and Washington ranked No. 17. But neither season has gone according to plan. Penn State is 4-4 overall and 1-4 in the Big Ten, with the lone win coming this past Saturday against Purdue.
Washington is 5-3 overall and 2-3 in the Big Ten, coming off a 17-10 win over Nebraska.
UW has won two straight Big Ten games, both on the road at night, so there’s a chance the team is hitting its stride.
The same also goes for Penn State, which played its best game of the year against Purdue, beating the Boilers 31-17 in a matchup that wasn’t as close as the score showed.
