It’s only May, but things are looking pretty good for Penn State in the recruiting world. Good enough, in fact, that its class is rated amongst the top four in the country.
247Sports ranks Penn State’s class, which is 14 strong after a pair of late-week commitments, at No. 4, behind Oklahoma, Texas A&M and USC.
USC is the only Big Ten school ahead of Penn State, with Ohio State being directly behind PSU at No. 5.
Penn State is also ahead of Notre Dame, which it’s battled for many a player over the past year.
The two most recent commits are Stanley Montgomery, a high-end four-star defensive tackle from Philadelphia, and Jamir Dean, a three-star receiver from Tennessee.
