Not long after Penn State football received its 10th recruiting commitment of the 2027 cycle, another one followed.
The latest player to commit to Penn State’s 2027 class is Kei’shjuan Telfair, a four-star CB from Ohio’s Euclid High School.
Telfair is 6-feet and 160 pounds and is also capable of playing receiver, and he’s been of interest to Penn State dating back to the James Franklin era.
This is another feather in the cap for Penn State’s longtime CB coach Terry Smith.
Telfair is the No. 4 player in Ohio, the No. 12 cornerback, and the No. 93 overall player from his class, according to the 247Sports Composite ratings. He’s also the fourth CB commit Smith, head coach Matt Campbell and Penn State have gotten in this cycle, joining Semajay Robinson (four-star, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida) Zachary Gleason (three-star, Pittsburgh Central Catholic) and Ka’ron Ceasar (three-star, Atco, New Jersey).
Telfair had been on Penn State’s radar for a while, with the school offering him in Oct. 2024, which was his first DI offer per 247. Since than, Telafair has received offers from schools such as Arizona State, Boston College, Clemson, Miami, Arkansas, Auburn, Cal, Cincinatti, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Pitt, Purdue, Stanford, Tennessee, USC, Utah, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. He has an official visit to Penn State scheduled for the weekend of June 12. He also has official visits planned for Clemson (May 29) and Miami (June 5).
