Penn State is hot on the recruiting trail.
In less than 72 hours, PSU has picked up three commits, all from defensive backs.
The most recent one is Ka’ron Ceaser, a three-star from Winslow Township High School in Atco, New Jersey.
Winslow’s head coach is former Penn State RB Bill Belton.
A 5-foot-11, 180-pounder, Ceaser also had offers from schools such as Duke, Maryland, Pitt, Syracuse, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
Along with head coach Matt Campbell and associate head coach Terry Smith, who has also been Penn State’s corners coach for more than a decade, Savon Huggins had a hand in recruiting Ceaser. Huggins, who is entering his first season as PSU’s runningbacks coach, was a New Jersey High School football legend at St. Peter’s before playing at Rutgers, and figures to help the school in recruiting players from all positions in the mid-Atlantic.
“I chose Penn State because I trust Coach (Matt) and the coaching staff to help guide me in the right direction outside of football,” Ceaser told Blue-White Illustrated following his commitment. “On the field is what I can handle with my work ethic. But I trust them, and they’ve always been heavy on me.”
Penn State re-offered Ceaser in January after initially extending an offer in August 2025, when James Franklin was still the head coach.
The first DB to commit to Penn State’s 2027 class did so this past Saturday, with that being Semajay Robinson, a four-star from Dillard High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Less than 48 hours later, Zachary Gleason, a three-star from Pittsburgh Central Catholic, followed.
