Bobbleheads will be given out to the first 2,000 kids in attendance, and they will feature Singleton wearing not a Penn State uniform but a Governor Mifflin one.
It was at Governor Mifflin where Singleton became a household name.
Singleton was ranked as the top running back in the 2022 recruiting class by 247Sports and given a 5-star rating. His senior season– 41 touchdowns, 2,043 rushing yards– already earned him Pennsylvania’s Gatorade Player of the Year Award, and on the day before he was scheduled to sign with Penn State, Singleton was named Gatorade’s National Player of the Year.
From there, it was time to begin his college career and he was as almost instantly a factor in the Penn State offense.
He cracked 1,000 yards as a true freshman, ending with 1,061, and repeated that feat this past season, when he went for 1,099 yards and 12 TD’s, averaging 6.4 yards per carry.
Because he delighted Penn State fans by announcing his return for Year 4 last month, Singleton has a realistic shot of becoming Penn State’s all-time leading rusher.
He’s currently 10th on the all-time list with 2,912 yards and is only 1,021 away from breaking Evan Royster’s school record.
Considering Singleton rushed for 1,099 yards this season, that sure seems realistic.
He also has competition in his own room. Kaytron Allen, who also broke 1,000 yards last season, will be back.
PSU opens its 2025 season Aug. 30 against Nevada.
