The recruiting profiles for two of the biggest commitments in Penn State’s Class of 2022 continue to get bigger.

With the end of the 2021 high school football regular season, national recruiting outlets have been meeting to go over their recruiting grades for individual players. While doing so, Penn State’s two biggest recruits received a nice jump by 247Sports.

Quarterback Drew Allar (Medina, Ohio) and running back Nicholas Singleton (Reading, Pennsylvania) have both been designated as 5-star recruits by 247Sports. Along with being a 5-star recruit, Allar is now ranked as the No. 1 quarterback in the country and the No. 3 overall player in the Class of 2022. Singleton has been named as the No. 1 senior running back and the No. 20 overall player.

With the uncertainty at the Nittany Lions quarterback position for next season, Allar (6-foot-4, 225 pounds) will undoubtedly enter his freshman season looking to earn the starting job. The same goes with Singleton, as Penn State’s inability to run the football has been much talked about.

James Franklin’s program currently has the No. 5 ranked team recruiting ranking for their Class of 2022, trailing only No.1 Georgia, No. 2 Alabama, No. 3 Texas A&M and No. 4 Notre Dame.
