The Penn State men’s basketball team keeps planning for the future as they have just offered two, top five prospects from Pennsylvania and one from Maryland.
Rowan Phillips (2028) is a 6′-6″ shooting guard out of Norristown, Pa. who plays for Westtown School. The 4-Star riser is the No. 3 overall player in Pennsylvania and the No. 33 overall player in the country, per 247Sports. Phillips is also receiving offers from VCU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State and Ole Miss.
He has the reputation of being able to score in a plethora of ways and his wiry arms congest the driving and passing lanes while on defense. Phillips’ size creates mismatches against smaller guards while maintaining the athleticism and skill to play on the perimeter.
Phillips’ teammate, Ajani ‘AJ’ Stewart (2027), has also just been offered by the Nittany Lions.
Rezon Harris, Jr. (2028) is a 6′-6″ small forward who plays for Father Judge High School in Philadelphia. Harris is rated the No. 4 player out of Pennsylvania and the No. 52 player nationally.
Harris has the reputation of being a highly versatile swingman and perimeter prospect who is known for his elite shooting, polished shot creation and is a two-way playmaker. His combination of size, offensive scoring and defensive versatility makes him a highly regarded player out of the Philadelphia/NJ basketball circuit.
Nash Avery (2028) is a 6′-8″ power forward from Severn, Maryland who plays for Archbishop Spalding High School. Per 247Sports, he is the No. 2 ranked player out of Maryland and the No. 36 player in America. The 4-star recruit has also received offers from Maryland, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.
Avery is seen as a player that makes plays all over the floor and impacts the game on both ends. His upside is real, and he continues to prove why he’s one of the DMV’s premier young talents.
