Penn State home football games usually feature flyovers on two occasions: for Military Appreciation Day and for a big game, like Ohio State.
PSU had its Military Appreciation Day Sept. 21 against Kent State.
Now, the biggest game of the year is upon us, and it will feature a flyover following the Stars Spangled Banner.
You know it’s a big game when there is a flyover. https://t.co/D023bBQD7u

This is scheduled to take place at 11:45, between 15 and 25 minutes before kickoff. Penn State-Ohio State is scheduled to kickoff at noon but likely will start no sooner than 12:10. Before the flyover will be Penn State’s traditional pregame show, headlined by the PSU Blue Band. This one will also feature Ohio State’s “Best Damn Band in the Land.”
BETTER LUCK THIS TIME?

JJ McCarthy and the Michigan offense stare down a loud Penn State student section.
Penn State is hoping for a better result than the one it got the last time it had a flyover before a massive matchup at Beaver Stadium. That would have been the game against Michigan last season, where Michigan ran the ball 32 straight times and won 24-15. Michigan came into that game ranked No. 2, and Penn State comes into Saturday’s contest ranked No. 3. Its opponent, Ohio State, is ranked fourth, making this the first game these schools have played as top five opponents since 1996 and just the second time overall. Ohio State won that 1996 matchup 38-7, and again, Penn State hopes for a much better result.
THIS AIN’T KENT STATE

Anthony Speca was one of many Penn State true freshmen who saw the field against Kent State.
Penn State won its matchup against Kent State— which featured a flyover— 56-0. It won’t be that easy this time. Ohio State is one of the best teams in the country, where as Kent State might be the worst.
It’s also worth noting that West Virginia has a flyover before its season-opening game against Penn State in Morgantown. Penn State won that one 34-12.
The Penn State-Ohio State game is scheduled to kickoff at noon on Fox.
