Joe Smeltzer: You know, it feels like Penn State’s played a lot of pick ’em games this year. This definitely is one of them. I wouldn’t be surprised by either outcome. So I’m gonna go with Washington because Penn State, to me, hasn’t shown they can do it on the road yet. They had that chance against Northwestern. We saw how that went. Had a chance against Michigan, a very winnable game that they lost, and now they’re facing a Washington team that, like Penn State, went to a tough game before the season hasn’t gone according to plan so far.
But Washington’s playing better, winning two games in tough environments at Rose Ade Stadium on a Friday night, and then Saturday at Nebraska. So that’s one reason. I also like Washington’s passing game.
I think traveling across the country is tough. Husky Stadium is a tough environment. Washington is starting to play good football. I like them to keep it going and win three in a row. I think it could go either way. Like I said, I wouldn’t be stunned if Penn State won this one, but I’ll go with Washington 27, Penn State 24.
Kyle “Fatman” Golik: I said in the preseason, Washington would win this. Regardless of whether it’s Demond Williams or Elijah Brown (at quarterback). Even with their inability to run the football, (receivers) Dezmen Roebuck and Chris Lawson are just so dynamic. I like the home team here. I’m gonna go Washington 31, Penn State 21.
Andrew Kalista: I’m going Penn State 31, Washington 28, and that’s just because they showed me something (against Purdue). That’s it. They showed me fight. I think there’s going to be some good attitudes on the point out, and it’s tough to win on the road, but I think Matt Campbell’s due for some positive vibes.”
