Penn State football has landed yet another commitment.
On Saturday night, Jeff Exinor Jr., a four-star, 6-foot-2, 220-pound, Class of 2025 WR from the McDonough School in Owings Mills, Maryland, announced his commitment to PSU.
“Over the past couple of years, they were my first offer, so I just kind of built a relationship with them and going on an official visit, I really got to see how they run their offense — really dive deep into their scheme,” Exinor told Nittany Sports Now. “Me and coach K, we really kicked it off, me and coach Hagans, he’s a guy who can really develop me. I really felt like out of all the schools that developed me, I felt the best in their scheme.”
Exinor had been on Penn State’s radar for a while, having been offered in May 2021 when he was still in middle school. He also had offers from schools such as Boston College, Duke, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Pitt, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, USC, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Exinor took his official visit to Penn State the weekend of June 9. He also took OVs to Michigan State (May 31), Syracuse (June 14) and Maryland (June 21). He ended up picking Penn State and thus continuing what’s become a solid high school pipeline for PSU.
“It’s big,” Exinor said. “It’s a moment I dreamed of since I started playing. It’s one step closer to my goal of being one of the greatest.
“I’m gonna enjoy the day, the end of the process of my process for me, but I want to thank all of the coaches that recruited me, it’s been an honor, I’m grateful for every single coach that’s been able to look at me and give me an offer, that doesn’t go unwarranted, so to be a Penn State Nittany Lion and play in Beaver Stadium means a lot to me.”
Also from the McDonogh School are current Penn State defenders Dani Dennis-Sutton, Curtis Jacobs, Dvon Ellies and PJ Mustipher. Robinson has a relationship with all four of those players. Although Mustipher and Jacobs are done with his college career, Dennis-Sutton and Ellies are still at PSU.
Exinor is the 20th player to commit to Penn State’s Class of 2025 and the second receiver, joining four-star Lyrick Samuel (Brooklyn, New York).
