Georgia is probably a better football team than Penn State.
Alabama likely is, too.
In the Big Ten, Ohio State and Michigan are still ahead of Penn State in the national rankings for now.
Like Penn State Georgia, ‘Bama, Ohio State and Michigan are all 3-0.
But unlike Penn State, none of them have managed to cover the spread in all three games.
There are only 5 teams in college football that have been booked as a favorite in every game and covered:
1. USC
2. Penn State
3. Minnesota
4. Washington
5. TennesseeGood teams win, great teams cover.

Coach James Franklin’s team is one of five in the country that’s done that, along with USC, Minnesota, Washington and Tennessee.
Penn State opened the season as a 3.5 point favorite and won by four. Penn State was a 27-point favorite against Ohio and won by 36. At Auburn this past weekend, the visitors were 3.5-point favorites and blew that spread out of the water, winning by 29 for an easy cover.
This week, Penn State is currently a 27.5-point favorite against Central Michigan at Beaver Stadium according to FanDuel.
Penn State is also almost certain to be favored the following Saturday when it hosts Northwestern at Beaver Stadium. The week after that is Penn State’s bye, and then, the Nittany Lions will likely be underdogs for the first time this season at Michigan Oct. 15.
From there, the only game Penn State is likely to be underdogs in is it’s Oct. 29 matchup with Ohio State.
After Michigan, Penn State hosts Minnesota for its annual ‘White Out’ game. Penn State then goes to Bloomington to take on Indiana the week after its showdown with Ohio State.
Penn State’s last three games— at home against Maryland Nov. 13, At Rutgers Nov. 20 and at home against Michigan State Nov. 27– all should be ones that its favored to win.
