Lora is a 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive tackle out of Woodberry Forest High School in Virginia. He is the No. 97 defensive lineman overall and the No. 19 player in Virginia. Lora committed to Virginia June 24. But after showcasing his skills during various camps over the summer, his recruiting started to heat up and he decided to walk back on his commitment Sept. 24.
Lora is thought of as a sleeper prospect that has the size and speed to be a three-technique defensive tackle at the college level. He’s explosive off the line with a good first step and has the strength to shed blockers and can get to quarterbacks and ball carriers.
He also competes in track and field and is a state champion in the discus throw (154-6) and the shot put (53-6.25). Although he’s visiting, Penn State hasn’t yet offered Lora a scholarship.
Penn State has a strong Class of 2023 pipeline in the state of Virginia. Alex Birchmeier, Tony Rojas, Carmelo Taylor, Mathias Barnwell, and Anthony Donkoh are all from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Lora would be a good addition to the defensive line along with current commitments Jameial Lyons and Tyriq Blanding in the 2023 recruiting cycle.
