How to Watch Penn State vs. Villanova

UNIVERSITY PARK– Penn State won its first two games without breaking much of a sweat, and frankly, Game 3 shouldn’t be much different.

Villanova is a perennial winner at the FCS level, but FCS isn’t FBS and certainly isn’t the Big Ten.

Penn State would be heavily favored over ‘Nova any year, especially this season, when the team is among the favorites to win it all.

Villanova, meanwhile, just beat mighty Colgate by a whopping seven points.

Yeah, this game won’t be close, and Vegas agrees, which is why Penn State’s favored by almost 50— yes, 50– points.

HOW’S THE WEATHER?

Weather-wise, it’s supposed to be a beautiful day for football, with temperatures projected to hover around 80 degrees during the game. It’s projected to be mostly cloudy, but no rain is expected.

PENN STATE NEEDS TO BE BETTER

For Penn State to have fans feeling good after this game, it must be better than it was last Saturday against Florida International. Although the team won 34-0, anybody who watched the game knew there were problems, especially in the first half, where PSU managed only 10 points against a team it was supposed to beat by more than 40.

If Penn State is only up by 10 again heading into the second half against Villanova, people will be very upset.

It gets much tougher for Penn State after this week. Although the impending bye week won’t provide Penn State with much of a challenge, Oregon certainly will. The Ducks are the No. 4 team in the country and will probably stay that way after playing Northwesetern in a game they’re heavily favored to win.

That Oregon game is scheduled for Sept. 28 under the lights in White Out conditions at Beaver Stadium.
