In recruiting news, Penn State has added a massive offensive lineman to its 2026 Class.
The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Roseby Lubintus is announced his commitment to PSU Friday night.
This big fella— a three-star from Timber Creek High School in Sicklerville, New Jersey, has been on Penn State’s radar for more than a year.
PSU offered him in March 2024. He visited campus this past February for one of the school’s junior day events. Lubintus also had offers from schools such as Boston College, Florida, Maryland, Michigan State, Syracuse and West Virginia.
At the end of the day, Penn State won out on an offensive lineman, something position coach Phil Trautwein has grown use to doing over the past several years.
WHY HE COMMITTED
Lubintus explained why he committed to Penn State in an interview with On3Sports.
“Penn State was my first offer and they’re still here,” he said. “A lot of schools have offered, but I haven’t talked to them since the season. With Penn State, I knew from the start that my offer was progressive because I didn’t have much film and things like that. They’ve stuck it out with me to see what I could do, and that really sticks with me. That takes things to a whole different level.”
“I like the way Coach Traut does it. He’s all about finding out the kind of person you are first and building a bond with you. Coach Franklin is one of those people who’s not afraid to tell you the truth. Coach Traut is the same way, too. They’re going to tell you what it is before you ever step into it. Everybody would want that. I feel like that’s the best of my recruitment with them.”
WHERE THE CLASS STANDS
So where does Penn State football’s 2026 recruiting class stand now? Well, Lubintus is the 12th player to commit and the second offensive lineman, joining four-star tackle Kevin Brown (Harrisburg).
247Sports has Penn State’s class ranked No. 6.
