Penn State QB Rocco Becht is graduated, but still playing college football.
So, what will he do now academically?
He explained the situation to Mike Poorman of State College.com at a media avalability Thursday.
WHAT BECHT SAID
“I graduated with a communications degree from Iowa State and I came over here,” he said. “I’m in a grad program — an organizational development and change program. Leadership classes, working in small-group type of classes. I’m doing that right now.
“In the fall I’ll have a class online. After that, I’ll get a certificate and then I’m able to pursue to my master’s with those 12 credits. I don’t know what [class this fall], we haven’t picked it yet. We have to do that this coming week with school starting next week. I’m in one class. I guess it’s the props of being graduated and being in a fifth-year.”

Coach Matt Campbell, who was with Becht for all four of his seasons at Iowa State, says the veteran is better than ever.
“I think Rocco’s in a completely different space than I’ve seen him really in his career,” Campbell said. “What Rocco brings to the table is a guy that’s already gone through the highs of college football, the lows of college football.”
“If the entire locker room is willing to fight for the quarterback, then you got a pretty special leader on your hands,” Campbell said. “And I think he’s done a really good job in his competitiveness, his leadership, to come in and really demand that respect of the football team, and I think it’s shown by the way he’s played in fall camp.”
