4-star offensive lineman Leo Delaney is one of the top offensive tackles in the Class of 2026 and today, he’s making an unofficial visit to Penn State.
The 6’6″, 280-pound tackle from Providence Day High School in Charlotte, North Carolina has a 5.8 rating per Rivals and ranked as one of the Top 50 lineman in the Class of 2026.
Delaney holds 30+ offers including from Power Four programs such as Michigan, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami Fla., Ole Miss, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas A&M, USC and Wisconsin.
According to most national recruiting insiders, Michigan and Tennessee are the current leaders for Delaney but in today’s world of recruiting, that can certainly change in a heartbeat.
Possible interest in Tennessee could be due to Delaney’s former high school teammate, David Sanders Jr., who signed with Tennessee this past season. Sanders was one of the top offensive linemen in the Class of 2025. Michigan also has a history with Delaney’s high school, Providence Day, having recently signed quarterback Jadyn Davis and wide receiver Chaning Goodwin.
Over the last month, Delaney has made a number of unofficial visits; including to trips to NC State, Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Back in November, Delaney released his Top 8 schools (Clemson, Michigan, NC State, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Georgia) but it’s a long time since then and things have likely changed. This will be Delaney’s first real visit to Penn State so it’s a big opportunity for James Franklin and his staff to make a lasting impression.
Penn State has been recruiting Delaney for some time now, having extended him his offer back in December of 2023.
Penn State’s Class of 2026 currently has 10 commitments and has a Team Ranking of No. 15 per Rivals.com. Of those 10 commitments, 4-star offensive tackle Kevin Brown is the only offensive lineman.
