The Penn State men’s basketball team has offered two 2027 prospects in Christian Cast and Shawn Foster.
Cast is a 6′-3″ combo-guard out of Franklin, Michigan who plays for Detroit Country Day School.
He is a four-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 2 player out of Michigan and the No. 137 player overall nationally, per 247Sports.
Scope Scouting had this to say about the guard: “Cast is a skilled point guard who plays with a smooth, controlled pace and strong command of the game. He is capable of knocking down perimeter shots, even under pressure, and consistently keeps the defense honest with his shooting ability. As a primary initiator, he shows patience and poise, particularly in ball screen situations where he uses his quickness to create advantages and make plays for others. Defensively, Cast is active and engaged, applying full-court pressure with quick hands and solid on-ball instincts.”
Other schools that have offered Cast are Mississippi State, Eastern Michigan, San Diego State, Toledo and Alabama A & M.

Foster is a 6′-1″ three-star point guard out of Geneva, Ohio, who played for Lima Senior High School last season.
Per 247Sports, Foster is the No. 8 overall player out of Ohio and the No. 177 prospect nationally.
Other schools who want Foster are Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa State, Cincinnati and Toledo.
