Penn State’s first season under Matt Campbell officially has its first set of kickoff times.
The Big Ten announced kickoff times and television designations for the Nittany Lions’ first three games of the 2026 season, giving Penn State fans an early look at how the opening month of the Campbell era will unfold.
Penn State will open the season Saturday, Sept. 5, against Marshall at West Shore Home Field at Beaver Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on FS1, marking Campbell’s first game leading the Nittany Lions.
The following week, Penn State will head to Philadelphia for its annual in-state matchup against Temple at Lincoln Financial Field. That game is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, with kickoff set for noon on ESPN2.
Penn State will close its non-conference schedule Saturday, Sept. 19, at home against Buffalo. That matchup will also kick off at noon and will be televised on Big Ten Network.
The Big Ten also announced that Penn State’s Sept. 26 homecoming game against Wisconsin at Beaver Stadium will begin no later than 5 p.m., though a final kickoff time and television designation will be announced later.
Penn State will then move into one of the more notable road spots of the early Big Ten schedule. The Nittany Lions will help Northwestern reopen Ryan Field after an $875 million construction project when the teams meet Friday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. Eastern.
For Campbell, the opening stretch gives Penn State three non-conference tune-ups before the Big Ten schedule quickly takes on more weight.
