Penn State tight end Tyler Warren has become one of the best players in college football not just for his numbers but for the way he can excite college football fans.
So far this season, Warren has 800 yards and five touchdowns on 66 catches, and that alone is enough to make him a favorite to win the John Mackey Award, presented annually to the nation’s top top tight end.
But as we saw at USC and again at Purdue, Warren can do a lot of things to help Penn State win.
He caught the ball 17 times.
He ran the ball.
He threw the ball.
He snapped the ball.Tyler Warren was sensational for @PennStateFball vs. USC. pic.twitter.com/5bTv4SKaUK

In the latest example, Warren threw a backward pass to QB Drew Allar and then caught a forward pass for a 38-yard gain.
That brought the ball to the Purdue 10, and on the next play, Penn State scored a on a 10-yard run by Nicholas Singleton.
Warren ended the first half with 119 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions, the last 38 coming in that catch.
The double pass strikes again, and with that, Penn State TE Tyler Warren is now at 119 receiving yards.
Third time this second he’s eclipsed the century mark.
