Former Penn State QB Will Levis, who is now starting for the Tennessee Titans, has left Monday night’s game against the Dolphins in Miami with an apparent shoulder injury.
For the moment, Mason Rudolph is Tennessee’s starter, but Levis left the injury tent during Rudolph’s first possession.
He is now on the sidelines, and the Titans have ruled him questionable.
Levis is off to a rocky start in 2024. Through three games, he’d thrown four interceptions to three touchdowns passes, has an 68.1 completion percentage and is 30th of 32 QBs in QBR. Levis made his NFL debut as a rookie last season, starting Tennessee’s last nine games. He ended the year throwing eight touchdowns to four interceptions, completing 58.4% of his passes.
In two seasons at Kentucky, he threw 43 touchdown passes, 23 interceptions and completed more than 65 percent of his passes.
After transferring from Penn State following the 2020 season, he had a 17-7 record as Kentucky’s starter. In 2021, the team went 10-3 and beat Iowa in the Citrus Bowl. In 2022, Kentucky finished the regular season 7-5 and awaits when, where and who it will play in its bowl game. Before Kentucky, Levis played at Penn State from 2018-20. He got playing time in his last two seasons, even starting a game in each year, against Rutgers in 2019 and Iowa in ‘20, both at Beaver Stadium.
Although Sean Clifford was Penn State’s starter in 2020, Will Levis appeared in eight of Penn State’s nine games, being used often as a runner. From 2019-20, Levis rushed for a combined 473 yards, a number that wasn’t far behind his 644 passing yards.
In Levis’ absence, former Steeler Mason Rudolph is starting for the Titans.
