Former Penn State quarterback Will Levis and the 4-8 Titans weren’t favored on the road against the 9-3 Dolphins.
They really weren’t expected to win when they trailed 27-13 with less than three minutes left.
But Levis hit DeAndre Hopkins for a 3-yard score and then Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for a 2-point conversion to make it 27-21 with 2:40 left.
After Tennessee’s defense forced a three-and-out, Levis and co. got the ball back with 2:14 left and 64 yards to go. An 8-play drive ended with a 3-yard TD run by Derek Henry, and Nick Folk kicked what proved to be the game-winning extra point with 1:49 to go.
The Titans’ defense held solid, and the comeback/upset was complete.

Levis ended the night 23-for-38 with a touchdown, an interception and 327 yards. He was elated after the game.
“Awesome, Levis said. “We knew we had an opportunity to do something special tonight and on national television. This is probably our last prime time game. I hope America liked what they saw.
He went to Tennessee in the second round of this year’s draft.
He was expected to go in the first-round, if not the top three. But to pretty much the everybody’s surprise, Levis didn’t go until pick No. 33. Levis’s slide was probably the most intriguing storyline of this year’s draft. ESPN’s cameras constantly showed him waiting in the “green room.” Nonetheless, Levis found a home. He didn’t play much in the preseason due to injury and ended it 9-for-14 with 85 yards.
He took over the starting role for Ryan Tannehill in late October. Through seven starts, he has eight touchdowns and three interceptions. He’s also thrown for nearly 1,600 yards. Tennessee is virtually out of the playoff race, but right now, it’s sure looking like Levis is the future.
