A four-star Penn State Class of 2024 target has set his commitment date.
Terhyon Nichols, a four-star defensive back from Cincinnati’s Winthrow University High School, tweeted Wednesday night that he’s announcing his commitment Sunday, July 2, at 7 p.m.

The 6-foot, 180-pounder is choosing between Cincinnati, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Pitt and Kentucky.
He went on his official visit to Penn State the weekend of June 16. Nichols also took OVs to Kentucky (June 5), Pitt (June 9) and Michigan (June 23). Penn State offered Nichols last September.
Along with his top six, Nichols has offers from schools such as Alabama, Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Louisville, Michigan State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Purdue, Syracuse, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Nichols is the No. 9 player in Ohio from his class according to 247Sports’ composite rankings and the 23rd-ranked corner in the country.
Ahead of his official visits, Nichols told Chad Simmons of On3Sports that there was a chance he’d narrow down his top six— which he announced in May— as June rolled on.
But he’s stuck with the same six.
”I’m going into my visits without favorites,” Nichols said. “I’m going to keep things open and maybe cut my list down this month but it’ll be about how I feel. I just want to make the right decisions at the right times, so it will all be based on how I feel with my family. We will keep talking it all out and make the best decisions.”
Penn State’s ‘24 Class is currently 20 strong. 247Sports ranks it No. 6 in the country. Of those 20 commits, three are cornerbacks and five are DBs.
