Penn State football is in the top six for Terhyon Nichols, a four-star Class of 2024 defensive back from Cincinnati’s Withrow University High School.
Nichols tweeted his top six Wednesday afternoon.

The 6-foot, 180-pounder has Penn State as a finalist along with Cincinnati, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio State and Pitt.
Terhyon Nichols is the No. 9 player in Ohio from his class according to 247Sports’ composite rankings and the 29th-ranked corner in the country.
Penn State offered him in September, and he has an official visit scheduled for the weekend of June 16, sandwiched between OVs scheduled for Pitt (June 9) and Michigan (June 23.)
Along with his top six, Nichols has offers from schools such as Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Louisville, Michigan State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Purdue, Syracuse, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Wednesday has been a busy day in recruiting news for Penn State.
Early Wednesday morning, Myles Rowser, a former four-star DB recruit who played his freshman season at Campbell in 2022, announced that he has Penn State in his top six and will be announcing his commitment Friday, May 26, at 3.
Penn State’s a finalist along with Colorado, LSU, New Mexico State, Oregon and Tennessee.
Later in the day, Mekhai White, a three-star Class of 2024 receiver from Virginia’s King George High School, tweeted that Penn State was in his top eight. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound receiver has Penn State as a finalist along with Arkansas, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.
Penn State’s ‘24 class currently has 14 players committed. Of those 14, three— four-stars Jon Mitchell (Jacksonville, Florida) Kenneth Wosely (Philly) as well as Mitchell’s teammate, Antoine Belgrade-Shorter (three-star)— are defensive backs. Penn State’s top-rated ‘24 commit, Quinton Martin, intends to play running back in college, but is listed as an ATH and is capable of playing in the secondary.
