PASADENA, C.A.— QB Sean Clifford looks good for Penn State in its Rose Bowl game against Utah, Clifford hitting WR Mitchell Tinsley for a 10-yard TD pass to cap a 6-play, 70-yard scoring drive that put Penn State back in front.
Penn State and Utah are tied at 14 at the half.
Clifford is 12-15 with 146 yards and the touchdown.
There’s a lot of football left, but Clifford’s last performance at Penn State has been a good one so far. The touchdown pass to Tinsley was his 85th as a Penn State QB, the most in school history. Clifford is a sixth-year senior wrapping up his fourth year as Penn State’s starting QB on one of college football’s biggest stages. The Rose Bowl is also Tinsley’s last college football game. He’ll be out of eligibility when this is over.
