Our staff has predictions Saturday’s game between Penn State and Michigan State, and here are those predictions.
Brandon Walker: Penn State against Michigan State has always been a tricky rivalry. But Penn State is the better team in 2022. Sean Clifford is going to have the send off he deserves, and we’ll also see Drew Allar get some reps. Penn State will dominate this game from start to finish. I believe Penn State has been the most dominant team in college football in November. I see no threat from Michigan State this year and the Land Grant Trophy will come back to Happy Valley.

Mike Asti: The tables have turned from a year ago with Penn State as the team stabilizing itself in the top 15 most of the season and Michigan State as the team floundering without direction. Despite a disappointing season, the Spartans should be motivated with bowl eligibility on the line. The only problem is they just aren’t that good. Penn State takes cares of business and Sean Clifford goes out winning a trophy.

Logan Carney: Penn State has had the most predictable season in college football. Every game has happened the way that it was supposed to happen, with the better team winning each time.
It’s for this reason that I expect Penn State to beat Michigan State. Michigan State has been one of the most disappointing teams in college football this season and it started when they panicked and gave Mel Tucker one of the most ridiculous contract extensions, paying him $95 million over 10 years after just two seasons at Michigan State.
He’s the sixth-highest-paid coach in the sport behind elite coaches Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, Dabo Swinney, Lincoln Riley and Brian Kelly. On top of this, Tucker took the entirety of a $100,000 bonus that was meant to be split up between the Michigan State staff, as reported by USA Today. If Michigan State beats Penn State, then he’ll get another $125,000 for making a bowl game. This type of robbery should be illegal, and Michigan State must lose to prevent this atrocity from happening.

Jarrod Prugar: Michigan State is in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week and Penn State is looking to end the season on a strong note. Sean Clifford and company will put on a show one last time this year at Beaver Stadium.
PSU 48, MSU 13
Joe Smeltzer: Michigan State couldn’t beat a 4-7 Indiana team at home on its Senior Day? Am I supposed to believe Sparty will beat a 9-2 Penn State team on the road on Penn State’s Senior Day? I’m not, and I don’t. I’ll wrap up our staff predictions by picking Penn State to pound Michigan State.
