Jaquan Brisker impressed during his first NFL preseason, enough to where the Chicago Bears have him listed the former Penn State star as a starting safety on their Week 1 depth chart.

Brisker, who went to Chicago in the second round of this spring’s draft, played at Penn State from 2019-21. He started his college career at Lackawanna Community College, playing there from 2017-18, and got better each year he was at Penn State.
In 2021, he became an All-American, and many felt he deserved to go in the first-round as one of the best safeties in the draft.
Between the draft and the first preseason game, Brisker expressed his confidence in himself adjusting to the NFL level.
”I feel like I grew in the playbook,” Brisker told reporters. “I got better and more comfortable and know what I’m doing, know what my teammates are doing, and just playing fast.”
