Walk-on OL Jim Fitzgerald commits to Penn State

Penn State has received a walk-on commitment from Jim Fitzgerald, a 6-foot-7, 320-pound offensive tackle out of Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, Maryland.

The commitment comes just three days after Fitzgerald’s visit to Penn State. The senior also had Preferred walk-on offers from West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Maine.

In his senior season, Fitzgerald helped Archbishop Spalding to a 10-1 overall record and state semifinal game appearance.
