Griffith is a 6-foot-5, 180-pound shooting guard and small forward who is coming to the 2021-2022 season as the number one rated Boys basketball player in the state of Ohio. Griffith averaged 23.5 points per game, along with 9.1 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.2 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game as a sophomore for William H. Taft High School in Cincinnati. He was named the Division III Southwest District Player of the Year. The other schools that made his cut down are Cincinnati, Louisville, Ohio State, Kansas, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Arizona State Alabama, UCLA, and South Carolina.
Griffith is ranked as high as the 23rd ranked prospect nationally in the 2023 class according to ESPN.
He is a great slasher that is very quick and explosive when attacking the rim according to scouts. They are also impressed with his ability to crash the boards and get offensive rebounds. Scouts are also impressed with his ability to shoot the ball as well by shooting 54 percent from the field and 46 percent from here.
Landing a recruit of Griffith’s caliber would be a great building block for Micah Shrewsberry’s 2023 class.
