Penn State fans got a Christmas present hours before Christmas Day.
In the early afternoon of Christmas Eve, rumors of Western Kentucky receiver Mitchell Tinsley transferring to Penn State began to heat up.
Now, it’s official.
Tinsley posted on his Instagram that he has committed to Penn State less than three weeks after entering the transfer portal.
He finished his junior season– his second at Western Kentucky– with 1,402 yards on 87 catches and 14 touchdowns. In the Hilltoppers’ Boca Raton Bowl win over Appalachian State, Tinsley ended his Western Kentucky stay with a seven-catch, 103-yard performance, highlighted by a 75-yard touchdown reception.
This is a big get for James Franklin. The trio of Tinsley, Parker Washington and KeAndre Lambert-Smith could well be able to compensate for the expected loss of Jahan Dotson.
