‘I’ve Been Blown out Before’: Penn State Players React to Northwestern Loss

Penn State got blow out by Northwestern Friday night.

That was the exact terminology QB Rocco Becht used when speaking with media after the game.

But Becht is confident that this is not the real Penn State.

“I’ve gotten blown out before,” Becht said. “Just like today. Against a team like Northwestern who’s good, who’s physical on defense, who’s sound, and I’ve won a lot of games. But at the end of the day, I’ve been down in the dumps like really bad, and I’ve brought myself back up, and I’m going to continue to do that now. I’m not going to go and sulk and home and tell myself I’m bad at football. I’m going to continue to do what I do and continue to get better, because that’s all I know. So we’ll see a different brand of football the next coming weeks, because I’m going to hold this team accountable. Everyone’s going to hold this team accountable. All of the leaders are going to continue to lead, and we’ll be fine.”

Hear more from Becht (26-for-41, 243 yards, TD, 2 INT,) as well as WR Chase Sowell (five catches, 68 yards, TD), TE Ben Brahmer (five catches, 45 yards), and DT Siale Taupaki (three tackles) below.
