The opening of the transfer portal window is only days away, and Penn State will see another defensive player depart.
Redshirt junior linebacker Keon Wylie plans to enter the portal, per Hayes Fawcett of On3.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker from Philadelphia started three of Penn State’s 13 games this season, making 28 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss.
Wylie added one sack, one pass breakup, and one pass defended while playing in Jim Knowles’ defense.
A former four-star recruit from Imhotep Charter, Wylie suited up for three games and redshirted his freshman year in 2022. He missed all of 2024 with an injury and never emerged in a consistent starting role.
In 29 career games over three active seasons, 2023 was his best. Over 13 games off the bench, Wylie earned 17 tackles and career bests in tackles for loss (5) and sacks (3).
He totaled 47 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks during his PSU career. Wylie has two years of collegiate eligibility remaining.
The transfer portal opens on January 2 and is a single 15-day window, with no spring transfer portal, closing on January 16.
