Penn State Football continues to lose commitments en masse in the wake of head coach James Franklin’s firing: the latest is four-star quarterback Troy Huhn, the No. 186 player in the ESPN Top 300.
Huhn, a 6-foot-4, 215 pound signal caller out of San Marcos, Calif., committed to the Nittany Lions ahead of his junior year of high school. Hayes Fawcett of On3 announced Huhn’s decision to back out of his commitment. As of right now, Huhn has offers from more than two dozen college programs, and is ranked as the No. 15 quarterback in his class according to 247Sports.
Out of an initial class of 24 commitments, roughly half of those players have decommitted or publicly stated that they’re looking into other options; schools like Indiana and WVU are working hard to poach recruits who are on the fence away from Penn State.
