Itโs been obvious for a while that Abdul Carter is going to go in the top three of the Draft and one of those top three teams was just in State College.
ESPNโs Adam Schefter reported Monday morning that Giants coach Brian Daboll had breakfast with the star Penn State EDGE Saturday morning.
Penn St. edge rusher Abdul Carter had breakfast Sunday in State College, Pa., with New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll. Carter also is now scheduled to visit the Giants on Thursday in New Jersey, and he figures to be a top-3 pick. pic.twitter.com/cTvCwW7lSs

This is interesting for numerous reasons.
For one, it makes it clear that the Giants would be interested in Carter should he fall to No. 3.
Itโs also interesting because Carter grew up a die-hard fan of maybe New Yorkโs biggest rival, the Philadelphia Eagles. Philly has the last pick of the first round by virtue of winning the Super Bowl, so yeah, Carter wonโt be going there.
OTHER OPTIONS

So where will Carter go if he doesnโt fall to the Giants? Well, it seems the only two possibilities are the teams picking ahead of New York, which are Tennessee and Cleveland. The Titans need a quarterback bad, and while the Browns also need one, Cleveland seems to make more sense for Carter. The Browns already have a generational EDGE rusher in Myles Garrett and the possibility of having two of those types of talents at that position might be too tempting to pass up. The Browns also met with Carter in State College the night before Penn Stateโs Pro Day in February.
CARTERโS CREDENTIALS

Carterโs credentials for why heโs going to be a top pick are obvious.
This past season, Carter became the first Penn State player in almost a decade to reach double-digit sacks (12) and led in the nation in tackles for loss (22), doing all of it in his first-year as a defensive end.
Yep, heโs pretty good.
