Last season, Penn State wrestling had its annual Bryce Jordan Center dual meet but it just wasn’t the same.
Due to scheduling conflicts, the best option for Coach Cael Sanderson and company was to have the BJC Dual against Rutgers on a Monday night.
Rutgers is a rising program but hardly a Big Ten giant.
As for Monday night, well, the silence in the press room when Sanderson asked how reporters felt about Monday night wrestling said it all. We don’t yet know the dates for this years BJC Duals but we now know that there will be more than one.
Penn State wrestling announced on social media Saturday morning that season ticket holders will soon be getting emails with renewal information, and that there will be seven home dates: Five at Rec Hall, two at the Bryce Jordan Center.
“You’ll find out our opponents when the schedule is released later!” the post ended.
SEASON TICKET HOLDER ALERT!
Hey season ticket holders, watch your emails starting Monday! Renewal information is coming soon and we have 7 home dates, including 2 in the BJC!

Although Penn State doesn’t have its dates set yet for Big Ten duals, Iowa and Michigan are scheduled to come to State College, along with Maryland and Michigan State.
The last time Iowa and Michigan were on the home schedule, both meets took place in the Bryce Jordan Center.
Michigan came in ranked No. 3 and Iowa came in a week later ranked No. 2. Both meets were held on Friday night, and both were won by Penn State.
Sanderson’s empire is arguably the most dominant force in college sports, having won 11 of the last 13 national championships. The most recent was this past March, when Penn State won by a record 100 points and had four individual national champions. Three of them— Levi Haines, Carter Starocci and Greg Kerkvliet— are set to be back this season.
