Penn State men’s hockey now has its roadmap for the 2026-27 season.
The Big Ten announced its complete conference schedule Thursday, with each league team playing the other four times with two games at home and two on the road. Exact game dates for Big Ten weekend series will be finalized in the coming months, with series eligible to be played Thursday through Sunday.
Penn State opens the season with a bye during the Oct. 2-4 weekend before beginning play in the 2026 Ice Breaker Tournament in Connecticut. The Nittany Lions will visit UConn on Oct. 9 and Sacred Heart on Oct. 10.
The non-conference slate continues with Quinnipiac visiting Pegula Ice Arena on Oct. 16, marking the 2023 national champion’s first trip to Hockey Valley. Penn State will then host Robert Morris on Oct. 20 before welcoming Canisius for an Oct. 23-24 series.
Big Ten play opens Halloween weekend with Penn State traveling to Minnesota. It will mark the sixth time in seven seasons that the Nittany Lions open conference play on the road.
Penn State’s first Big Ten home series comes Nov. 5-8 against Notre Dame. The Nittany Lions then travel to Michigan and Wisconsin before Thanksgiving.
The second half begins New Year’s Eve against Niagara. Penn State later hosts Ohio State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan State and Michigan while traveling to Michigan State, Notre Dame, Robert Morris and Ohio State.
The regular season concludes March 4-5 at Pegula Ice Arena against Michigan.
NCAA Regionals are scheduled for March 25-28, with the Frozen Four set for April 8 and 10 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
