Brady Edmunds, one of the top quarterbacks in the Class of 2027, has narrowed down his list of offers and is focusing on just four schools.

The 6’5″, 200-pound quarterback from Huntington Beach, California, announced that his final four schools are Penn State, Ohio State, Texas and Michigan. Edmunds holds over 20+offers from programs such as Auburn, Florida State, Louisville, Oregon and UCLA.

247 Sports ranks Edmunds as the No. 2 sophomore quarterback in the country.

During the summer, Edmunds traveled across on the country making recruiting visits and visited Penn State on June 8th, which is when he received the offers from the Nittany Lions.

Edmunds becomes the first quarterback in the Class of 2027 to receive an offer from Penn State. His weekend was jammed pack with activities both on and off the field as it was his first-time visiting State College and his first in-depth communication with members of the staff.

“That was my first time communicating with anyone at Penn State. Coach (Danny) O’Brien, the quarterbacks coach, is really close with my quarterbacks coach out in Southern California,” Edmunds told Nittany Sports Now. “I think they’ve even worked together on warm-up quarterback drills and stuff like that. So that was my first time meeting him. But on Saturday, I got some 1-on-1 time with Coach O’Brien for like 3 hours. We were just watching some film and talking football. I met Coach (James) Franklin going into the camp and obviously we talked more after the camp.”

So, what was this kid from Southern California’s first impression of State College?

“It was awesome,” Edmunds said. “Obviously, the area in general is a lot different than Southern California but I really don’t care too much about the area. I’ll go wherever to play football. To be honest, I see myself getting out of California to play football. The campus was pretty, the whole area was pretty. I could definitely see myself there possibly.”

Last season at Huntington Beach High School, Edmunds threw for 2,691 yards and 24 touchdowns and this past Friday, he threw for close to 400 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Although his stats are obviously impressive and catching the eye of some of the top programs in all of college football, Edmunds tells NSN what he believes makes him a good quarterback.

“My arm strength,” he said. “I’m a bigger guy, 6’5, 215 pounds, so, I’m probably one of the biggest quarterbacks in my class. But I think the thing that really separates me is how I understand the game of football. I think that I’m one of the smartest quarterbacks in the nation. Put me on a whiteboard, film, anything like that, I think that I can crush it.”

Rivals.com recruiting expert Adam Gorney reports Edmunds will be making gameday visits to Nebraska vs. Ohio State, Georgia vs. Texas, Penn State vs. USC, UCLA vs. USC and is working on making a visit to Michigan.
