Penn State football’s Class of 2025, which has a team ranking of No. 12 in the country, includes players from all-around the country.
The current group of 25 recruits have come from 10 different states, including two from out in California (3-star DE Lavar Arrington II and 4-star CB Daryus Dixson).
The national brand of Penn State allows them to bring in players from anywhere, which is why the Nittany Lions staff continues to work the talent rich state of California so diligently.
Madden Williams is one of the top players in the Class of 2026 and he plays for St. John’s Bosco High School one of the premier programs in California.
The 4-star wide receiver is ranked by Rivals.com as one of the Top 100 overall players in the Class of 2026 and already holds 30+ offers. Some of those offers include Arizona, Florida State, Georgia, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, Washington and Wisconsin.
On Tuesday night, Williams released some dates of unofficial visits that he’ll be taking over the next couple of months. The good news for Penn State is that he’s coming to Beaver Stadium.
Unofficial Visits for Madden Williams:
September 28th: Penn State
October 5th: Florida State
October 12th: Oregon
November 16th: Stanford
November 23rd: UCLA

247 Sports Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins had this recent evaluation of Williams-
“No receiver out West has impressed more on the camp and 7v7 circuit than Williams. Has really filled out his 6-2 frame and is a strong, powerful receiver and very good in jump and contest catch situations. A clever route runner who knows how to get open and can line up out wide or in the slot. Not a burner right now and needs to continue to improve his long speed but runs well enough and knows how to use his speed to set up a defensive back. Can get behind a defense because of his advanced route running and has very strong hands. Highly competitive receiver who wants the ball and has shown he has the raw talent to be a No. 1 WR at the Power 4 level.”
No doubt the Penn State offensive staff is envisioning one day having the California combination of Williams and 2026 4-star quarterback Troy Huhn, from San Marcos, California, who committed to Penn State back in June.
