Penn State landed one of the top cornerback recruits in the country over the weekend. Four-star defensive back Daryus Dixson announced his commitment to Penn State on Sunday.
A 6-foot, 180-pound recruit in the class of 2025 is regarded by 247Sports as a top 100 player in the class and 11th-best corner. A Santa Ana, California native, Dixson was recruited by Terry Smith and made a visit to State College on June 7.

Dixson received interest all across the country, including USC, UCLA, Washington, Oregon, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Cal, Miami, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, and others. On3 grades Dixson as a three-star prospect, while ESPN, 247Sports, and Rivals all view him as a four-star talent set to play in State College following his senior season.
The Nittany Lions now have two 2025 cornerbacks committed, alongside Pittsburgh Central Catholic three-star Xxavier Thomas.
Dixson’s high school highlight reel is available on Hudl as something Penn State fans can look forward to.
