The Penn State football program will be hosting an important recruit tomorrow at their annual Lasch Bash Event.
The vast majority of recruits traveling to State College this weekend are part of the Class of 2026 but not all of them.
2025 4-star wide receiver Koby Howard (Hollywood, Florida) tells Nittany Sports Now that he’ll be making the trip and spending the weekend with the Penn State football program.
This is encouraging news for Penn State considering the work they’re putting in to add them to their Class of 2025.
Earlier this week, Howard told NSN of his plan to make his college decision on August 24th. It will be televised nationally as he’ll make it at halftime of his televised game on ESPN with St. John Bosco.
The 6’1″, 175-pound wide will be choosing between four programs: Penn State, Florida, Florida State and Ole Miss. Howard held offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Pitt, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
In terms of order of official visits, Howard’s final official was Penn State during the weekend of June 21st.
ESPN gives Howard a national rating of 5.9 and ranks him as one of the Top 20 prospects in the state of Florida and one of the Top 150 overall recruits in the Class of 2025.

Trying to bring a few top-notch wide receivers has been a major off-season theme for the Penn State football program.
Penn State football currently has received 22 commitments for their Class of 2025, with two of those coming from wide receivers- 4-star Jeff Exinor, Jr. and 3-star Lyrick Samuel.
