Penn State has added to its 2027 recruiting class with a commitment from three-star RB Jordan Hall.
Hall announced his commitment early Saturday evening, choosing Penn State over Missouri and Ohio State, among others.
Hall picking Penn State over Ohio State is especially significant considering Hall is from Cincinnati and is a standout for Princeton High School. He also had offers from schools such as Cincinnati, Louisville, Maryland and Wake Forest. Penn State coach Matt Campbell visited Hall for his game Friday night, which led people to believe a commitment to Penn State was imminent. Those beliefs ended up being right.
Hall had initially been committed to Miami (OH) but received interest from Power 4 schools toward the end of summer. Penn State was the first Power 4 school to offer him, doing so Aug. 21. Wake Forest followed Aug. 23, and Cincinnati offered him Aug. 24. The next day, Maryland offered him.
On the first Thursday of September, Hall de-committed from Miami, and two days later, he picked up an offer from Ohio State.
Missouri offered Sept. 16, followed by Louisville Sept. 20.
Hall visited Penn State Oct. 10 for its White Out game against USC, witnessing the biggest crowd in Beaver Stadium history.
Two weeks later, he announced his commitment to Penn State.
PSU now has two running backs committed to its 2027 class, with Hall joining Chu Odoh, a three-star from New Jersey’s Paramus Catholic.
Penn State previously had Georgia prospect Aiden Gibson committed, but Gibson ended up reclassifying for 2026 and signing with Rutgers.
22 players in total are committed to PSU’s Class of 2027.
