The Big Ten has revealed an update on the Penn State-Washington kickoff time for Nov. 7.
Penn State will play Washington at either 3:30 or 4:15 on a network to be determined.
PSU already has one 4:15 kick scheduled for this weekend against Purdue at Beaver Stadium.
If Penn State-Washington ends up being a 4:15 kick, it would mark the first time (likely) ever that Penn State has played back to back games at 4:15 EST (it’s also worth nothing that the local kick for Washington would be at 1:15 in this scenario. If it’s a 3:30 kick, well, there have been plenty of those before.
Of the eight Big Ten games scheduled for that weekend, only three have kickoff times that are set in stone. Nebraska will play at Illinois under the lights Friday, Nov. 6 at 8:00 EST. Purdue will host Maryland at 12:30 Saturday, and Ohio State will host Oregon at 3:30. Ohio State and Oregon were the top two teams in the country preseason, so many expected this to be a rare “Game of the Century” between No. 1 and No. 2 in the regular season.
But with Oregon starting 4-3 and Ohio State playing without star QB Julian Sayin, to say this matchup has lost its luster would be an understatement.
The other four matchups— Michigan State at Michigan, UCLA at Minnesota, Iowa at Northwestern and Rutgers at Wisconsin— don’t have kickoff times yet and haven’t been narrowed down like Washington-Penn State has.
Both Penn State and Washington started the season ranked in the top 20, with Washington starting at No. 17 in the AP Poll and Penn State right behind at No. 18. Both have a combined record of 7-7 overall and 1-7 in the Big Ten.
