Penn State is in the hunt for Pennsylvania’s top-ranked Class of 2025 QB.

Matt Zollers, a four-star, 6-foot-4, 205-pounder from Spring-Ford High School in Royersford, has Penn State in his top four.

He also has Georgia, Missouri and Pitt, he told Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports.

He was at Penn State this past weekend for the school’s third Junior Day event.

PSU offered him this past November. Along with his top four, Zollers has offers from schools such as Boston College, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan State, Nebraska, Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech. According to 247Sports, Zollers ended this past season with 37 touchdowns and just two interceptions. He completed nearly 63 percent of his passes and throwing for nearly 3,000 yards. Zollers also can run, gaining 420 yards on the ground and scoring seven touchdowns. For his career, Zollers has thrown 67 touchdowns and just eight interceptions.

A big change that Penn State’s experienced since offering Zollers is that the school has an offensive coordinator.

Ten days after the offer, Penn State fired Mike Yurcich.

Early the next month, PSU hired Andy Koetlnicki to be Yurcich’s full-time replacement.

Zollers recently spoke highly of Kotelnicki and QBs coach Danny O’Brien, who has been with the program for four seasons and is thought of as a rising star in the coaching ranks.

“Coach Kotelnicki and Coach O’Brien work super well together and really know what they’re talking about,” Zollers told USA Today’s University of Florida outlet after his recent visit to UF, which did not result in the school becoming one of his finalists, “and have a great way of developing me to excel at the college level and above.”
