Less than 24 hours before Penn State football’s 2024 recruiting class will sign their letters of intent, the program has received a walk-on commitment from an in-state OL.
Aidan Probst of McDowell High School announced on social media Tuesday evening that he’s committed to walk on at Penn State.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder played on the same line and is in the same class as Cooper Cousins.
Cousins was the first of Penn State’s 25 signees-to-be to commit, doing so in January 2022 when he was still a freshman at McDowell. Now, it looks like Probst will be the last one to do commit— walk-on or scholarship— before early signing day.
Probst wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that he’s “truly blessed to announce that I will be furthering my athletic and academic career at Penn State University!”
“Thank you to all of the coaches that showed interest in me throughout my recruiting process,” he wrote. “Thank you to my McDowell coaching staff for always believing in me and pushing me to be the best player I can be. Thank you (head) coach Bo (Orlando) for your endless support throughout my recruiting process, this wouldn’t be possible without your help.
“Finally, thank you to all of my teammates who offered me support and made me better on and off the field everyday.”

This is the third walk-on commit Penn State’s picked up in the past eight days, and all three are from Pennsylvania. The first two, Tyler Armstead (Canon-McMillan) and Beckham Dee (Mt. Lebanon) are both from western PA. None of Penn State’s walk-on commits will be signing Wednesday, but December has been an unforgettable month for the most recent three.
